Died: 1 January 1985

Reputed to have been one of five members of the NZEF who were in Dublin during the Easter Rising 1916, co-opted to assist in the defence of Trinity College. The five were: 2/1745 Cpl A W Don; 3/1315 Pte J G Garland; 4/666 L-Cpl F H McLeod; 3/1347 Cpl F L Nevin; 12/1523 Pte E Waring.
