Born Hector Jack Ashworth, son of Alfred Ernest Ashworth and Lily Dargin.  Taken into the family of his maternal uncle, Harry Aubrey Dargin and his wife Lillian (Lily) Eva Blundell.  This probably occurred around the time of his father's imprisonment for 3 years in 1899.
