An accountant who enlisted in the AIF on 26 August 1914. He embarked for Egypt on 18 October with the 1st Company, 1st Australian Divisional Train.
His unit landed at Gallipoli on 2 May 1915 and he was wounded (left knee) in action on 19 June. He was evacuated to Egypt for treatment and convalescence. It was determined that he should return to Australia.
He embarked on 17 September 1915 and arrived on 13 October then was discharged from the AIF on 23 November 1915. [JSB]
