A railway employee who enlisted in the AIF on 18 February 1917. He embarked for England on 31 October and arrived on 25 December 1917.
Prior to commencing his training as a reinforcement for the 4th Battalion, he was assessed as unfit for military service on 2 January 1918 due a cardiac condition.
He embarked for Australia on 13 March and arrived on 27 May then was discharged from the AIF on 29 June 1918. [JSB]
