A house furnisher who enlisted in the AIF on 28 May 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 11 December 1915.
He was allotted to the 2nd Field Ambulance on 6 March 1916 and arrived at Marseilles, France on 30 March 1916. The unit moved immediately to northern France. On 29 April 1917 he transferred to the Australian Flying Corps in England.
He embarked for Australia on 6 May and arrived on 19 June 1919 then was discharged from the AIF on 11 August 1919. [JSB]
