Underage when he enlisted in January 1916. He died from hydronephrosis on 31 December 1916 at the 2nd Southern General Hospital, Bristol, England. He had served four weeks with the 54th Battalion in France prior to being hospitalised in France on 9 November 1916 and then evacuated to Bristol. [JSB]
