A stage mechanic who enlisted in the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (ANMEF) on 22 November 1918. He embarked for Rabaul on 18 December 1918 and arrived on 31 December 1918.
He undertook garrison duties at Rabaul and Kokopo on New Britain and at Madang on the north coast of New Guinea.
He embarked for Australia on 5 August 1919 and arrived on 16 August 1919. He was discharged from the ANMEF on 6 December 1919. [JSB]
