Biographical Summary:
Wounded in action on 18 Oct 1917 while serving with the 10th Field Artillery Brigade.
An employee of W R Carpenter & Co, Rabaul, Papua New Guinea, who was taken prisoner of war in 1942. He died when the Montevideo Maru, which was carrying mainly Australian military and civilian prisoners of war to Japan, was sunk by an American submarine on 1 July 1942 near Luzon, Philippines. [JSB]
