Thomas George Murray White

Biographical Summary:

A printer who enlisted in the AIF on 9 August 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 20 December 1915.

He was allotted on 2 April 1916 to the 13th Battalion which arrived at Marseilles, France on 7 June and immediately moved to northern France. He was evacuated to hospital in France on 5 February 1917 suffering from trench feet. He was evacuated to England for further treatment and convalescence. It was decided that he should return to Australia.

He embarked on 27 July 1917 and arrived on 29 September then was discharged medically unfit from the AIF on 1 May 1918.

His sister Dora was married to George Herbert Montague Berry. [JSB]
