Biographical Summary:
Served with the 3rd Battalion. He was wounded in action (gun shot wound to head) at Pozieres between 22 and 26 July 1916. He was again wounded in action (gun shot wound to arm) on 23 August 1918 when the Battalion was in action at Chuignes, Somme. There were another 191 members of the Battalion wounded that day, together with 35 killed and 1 missing. [JSB]
