Biographical Summary:
An engineer who enlisted in the AIF on 16 February 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 25 June 1915.
He joined the 18th Battalion at Gallipoli in August 1915 and remained there until the withdrawal in December 1915 then returned to Egypt on 9 January 1916.
On 18 January he was transferred to the 2nd Australian Division Signals Company which arrived at Marseille, France on 21 March 1916 and immediately moved to northern France. On 15 June 1918 he was transferred to the Australian Corps Headquarters Signals Company.
He embarked for Australia on 18 July 1919 and arrived on 7 September then was discharged from the AIF on 7 November 1919. [JSB]
