Biographical Summary:
A stock and station agent who enlisted in the AIF on 20 September 1915. He embarked for Egypt with the 5th Field Artillery Brigade (FAB) on 18 November and arrived on 21 December 1915.
The 5th FAB arrived at Marseilles, France on 25 March 1916 and immediately moved to northern France. He was evacuated to hospital in France on 26 July 1917 suffering from haemorrhoids. Following his discharge from hospital on 2 September, he was reclassified for base duties only and transferred to a holding unit in England.
He embarked for Australia on 31 October 1917 and arrived on 30 December then was discharged from the AIF on 2 February 1918. [JSB]
