Biographical Summary:
Wounded in action at Bapaume on 16 March 1917 – multiple gun shot wounds and shell shock. He returned to Australia and was discharged in December 1917.
Enlisted in Second Australian Imperial Force and was wounded in action on 10 November 1942 while serving with the 33rd Battalion in New Guinea. After evacuation to Brisbane, he died of wounds on 31 December 1942 at 112 Australian General Hospital, Greenslopes, Queensland. [JSB]
