Biographical Summary:
Reginald William Gelme,B.E.: Lieutenant, R.E., Mesopotamia. Sailing to England, received commission 15th January, 1915, and, after attending R.E. Officers School, was promoted lieutenant 1st April, 1916, and sent to Mesopotamia on 12th in charge of 120 sappers. Died of Illness, 27th July, 1916, and was buried in Basra War Cemetery. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. (University of Sydney Book of Remembrance)
