Biographical Summary:
Enlisted in the AIF on 1 October 1914. He served with the Australian Army Pay Corps and served in Egypt, England and France. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for "valuable services rendered with the Armies in France and Flanders".
He embarked at Le Havre in October 1918 to return to Australia on Special "1914" Leave. He was discharged from the AIF in February 1919. [JSB]
