Biographical Summary:

A mill hand who enlisted in the AIF on 24 August 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 30 November 1915.

From March 1916 he was attached to the 3rd Light Horse Training Regiment but suffered from a number of illnesses between July and October before he joined the 11th Light Horse Regiment on 12 October 1916. He became ill again in May 1917 and it was decided that he should return to Australia.

He embarked on 11 July and arrived on 23 August then was discharged from the AIF on 4 October 1917. [JSB]
