Biographical Summary:
A clerk who enlisted in the AIF on 27 March 1916. He embarked for England on 24 August and arrived on 11 October 1916.
He joined the 13th Battalion in France on 12 March 1917. He was evacuated to hospital in France on 15 April due to “dilated action of the heart” (DAH).
He was transferred to the Veterinary Corps on 15 May 1917 and posted to the Australian Veterinary Hospital to undertake duties as a batman.
He embarked for Australia on 7 February 1919 and arrived on 24 March then was discharged medically unfit from the AIF on 1 November 1919. [JSB]
