Biographical Summary:
A caretaker who enlisted in the AIF on 31 August 1915 but was discharged medically unfit on 19 November 1915 due to flat feet. He re-enlisted in the AIF on 30 July 1916. He embarked for England on 2 December and arrived on 17 February 1917.
He joined the 13th Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery on 14 October. He was wounded (back) in action at Corbie, France on 13 August 1918 and evacuated to England for treatment and convalescence.
He embarked for Australia on 4 December and arrived on 15 January then was discharged from the AIF on 17 February 1919. [JSB]
