Biographical Summary:

A producer and actor who enlisted in the AIF on 15 September 1916. He embarked for England on 25 October and arrived on 28 December 1916.

He had training in England with 14th Training Battalion and then remained there as part of the permanent cadre until July 1918. He arrived at the Australian Infantry Base Depot at Rouelles, France on 18 July 1918 as a reinforcement for the 59th Battalion. He was found to be unfit for front line service but remained at the depot until February 1919.

He embarked for Australia on 31 March 1919 and arrived on 14 May then was discharged from the AIF on 24 June 1919. [JSB]
