Biographical Summary:
A fire insurance inspector who enlisted in the AIF on 28 January 1916. He embarked for England on 9 November 1916 and arrived on 9 January 1917.
Following further training in England, in May 1917 he was attached to the medical staff at the Convalescent Training Company in England while held against the strength of the 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital at Bulford, England. In October 1918, he was attached to Headquarters, AIF Depots in the UK.
He embarked for Australia on 5 July 1919 as a member of the nursing staff on board HMAT Port Melbourne and arrived on 20 August then was discharged from the AIF on 16 October 1919. [JSB]
