Biographical Summary:
A butcher who enlisted in the AIF on 2 March 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 9 August 1915.
He joined the 1st Australian Light Horse Regiment at Gallipoli on 25 October 1915. His unit returned to Egypt in early January 1916 and then served with it for the remainder of the war.
He embarked for Australia on 13 March 1919 and arrived on 19 April then was discharged from the AIF on 16 June 1919. [JSB]
