Biographical Summary:
A bank clerk who enlisted in the AIF on 19 January 1917. He embarked for England on 5 November 1917 and arrived on 5 January 1918.
On 10 May 1918, he joined the 49th Battery, 13th Field Artillery Brigade which was then located at Bonnay, Somme actively firing on German positions.
He embarked for Australia on 8 July 1919 and arrived on 4 September 1919 and was then discharged from the AIF on 4 October 1919.
His father was the postmaster at Mosman. [JSB]
