Biographical Summary:
Electrical engineer. Mother Maude, 13 Boyle Street, Mosman. Served AN&MEF. Attended St Clement's Chuch, Mosman. Fatally wounded in action in which Bede Kenny, 2nd Battalion, won VC. Brother Basil Hubert Cooper, 19th Battalion and Anzac Provost Corps.

Wounded in action during an attack by the 2nd Battalion at Hermies on 9 April 1917 and died later the same day at the 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station located at Grevillers, France.
