Biographical Summary:
B.Sc., B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Lieutenant, A.F.C., A.I.F., Egypt, France and England.
Enlisting 14th September, 1915, with Infantry and sailing n th December with 12th Reinforcements 1st Field Coy. Engineers, transferred to 14th in Egypt. Invalided from Canal zone to England 1st August, 1916, crossed to France 22nd September and joined 7th Coy. Returning to England 22nd April, 1918, to join A.F.C., was gazetted second-lieutenant (pilot), 25th November, 1918, and served with 7th Flying Squadron until demobilisation.
Early education at Mosman Preparatory and Sydney Church of England Grammar Schools.
