Biographical Summary:
Served with the 14th Field Company Engineers. He was wounded in action (gun shot wounds to buttocks and right hip) on 25 September 1917. At the time, his unit was working at the front line near Zillebeke, Belgium. Following hospitalisation in England, he returned by hospital ship to Australia in February 1918 and was discharged from the AIF in August 1918. [JSB]
