Biographical Summary:

A draper who enlisted in the AIF on 26 October 1916. He embarked for Mesopotamia (the then name for the region along the Tigris–Euphrates river system extending from Turkey to the Arabian Gulf) on 2 February and arrived at Basrah on 8 March 1918.

He immediately joined 1st Australian Cavalry Division Signal Squadron which was absorbed into the 1st Australian Wireless Squadron on 23 May 1918.

He embarked for Australia on 21 March 1919 and arrived on 23 April then was discharged from the AIF on 26 June 1919. [JSB]
