Biographical Summary:

A clerk who enlisted with the AIF on 24 August 1914. He embarked with the 1st Battalion on 18 October and arrived in Egypt on December 1914.

He landed at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 and was wounded (ankle) in action some time between then and 29 April. He was evacuated to Heliopolis, Egypt for treatment and convalescence.

He embarked for Australia on 29 July and arrived on 25 August 1915 then was discharged from the AIF on 6 March 1916.

His father was postmaster at Mosman. [JSB]
