Biographical Summary:
An electrical engineer who enlisted in the AIF on 22 November 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 29 March 1916.
He remained in a holding unit until sent in May to England where he joined the 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital at Tidworth, Wiltshire on 24 June 1916. In October 1917, he contracted influenza then pleurisy with the latter leading to a decision that he should return to Australia for discharge.
He embarked on 25 November and arrived on 10 January 1918 then was discharged medically unfit from the AIF on 14 February 1918. [JSB]
