Biographical Summary:

A carpenter who enlisted in the AIF in April 1915 and embarked for Egypt on 6 July 1915 with the 19th Battalion.

He served at Gallipoli and after the withdrawal returned to Egypt until the 29th moved to northern France in late March 1916. He was transferred to the 20th Battalion when the 19th Battalion was disbanded in October 1918.

He embarked for Australia on 1 June 1919 and arrived at Fremantle on 18 June 1919. He was discharged from the AIF at Perth on 24 June 1919. [JSB]
