Biographical Summary:

A coach painter who enlisted in the AIF on 27 January 1916. He embarked for Egypt on 4 May 1916.

Following initial training he completed further training in England before he joined, on 23 June 1917, the 13th Field Artillery Brigade, He was wounded (head) in action on 9 October 1917 and was evacuated to England for treatment and convalescence.

He embarked for Australia on 10 March 1918 and arrived on 10 May then was discharged from the AIF on 13 August 1918. [JSB]
