Biographical Summary:
Wounded twice during an attack at Hangard Wood, south of Villers-Bretonneux, by his battalion (19th) but did not make it back to the front line after the failure of the attack. He was initially reported as missing in action and then as killed in action. His body was never recovered. He is commemorated at the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. [JSB]
