Biographical Summary:
A resident of Manly but his brother, Edward Russell Daunt Jnr, lived at Calypso Avenue, Mosman.
He served at Gallipoli with the 20th Battalion. He was invalided to Australia in March 1916 and discharged as medically unfit on 18 September 1916.
He reenlisted in March 1917 and returned to the 20th Battalion, then in Belgium, in December 1917. He was transferred to the 1st Australian Employment Company, located in France, in February 1918. He was again invalided to Australia in June 1918, and discharged medically unfit in September 1918. [JSB]
