Biographical Summary:
Wounded in action with gun shot wounds to his shoulder and forearm at Fromelles on 20 July 1916. He was again wounded in action at Glencorse Wood by gas on 24 September 1917 as his battalion prepared to take its part in the Battle of Polygon Wood two days later. He returned to his battalion on 17 October 1917 and remained with it until it was absorbed into the 56th Battalion on 14 October 1918.
