Biographical Summary:
A clerk who enlisted in the AIF on 28 September 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 17 December 1915.
He was allotted to the 2nd Battalion on 14 February. The battalion arrived at Marseilles, France on 28 March 1916 and immediately moved to northern France. He was wounded (head) in action on 23 August 1918 during an attack on the German lines near Proyart, France. He was evacuated to England for treatment and convalescence.
He embarked for Australia on 12 December and arrived on 1 February then was discharged from the AIF on 19 May 1919. [JSB]
