Biographical Summary:
A painter and decorator who enlisted in the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force on 11 August 1914. He embarked for German New Guinea on 19 August and returned to Australia in January and was discharged on 18 January 1915.
He enlisted in the AIF on 8 February 1915 but was discharged medically unfit due to malaria on 15 May 1915.
He again enlisted in the AIF on 22 December 1917. He embarked for England on 21 March and arrived on 24 May 1918. He joined the 7th Field Company Engineers in France on 13 October.
He embarked for Australia on 22 September 1919 and arrived on 12 November then was discharged from the AIF on aa January 1920. [JSB]
