Biographical Summary:

A grazier who enlisted in the AIF on 15 June 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 30 September 1915.

He joined the 7th Australian Light Horse Regiment at Maadi, Egypt on 28 December 1915. He was evacuated to hospital on 27 July 1916 initially for treatment of “septic feet”. He was diagnosed with impetigo and nasal obstruction while in hospital and it was decided that he should return to Australia for “a change”.

He embarked on 2 September and arrived on 29 September 1916 then was discharged from the AIF on 16 November 1916. [JSB]
