Biographical Summary:
A trained nurse who was appointed to the AIF on 10 May 1917. She embarked for Egypt on 12 June and arrived on 19 July 1917.
On 31 July 1917, she arrived at Salonika, Greece and was initially posted to the British 60th General Hospital, then several other British Army hospitals in Salonika. On 13 February 1919, she embarked for England on leave.
She was awarded the Royal Red Cross (2nd Class) “in recognition of her valuable services with the British Forces in Salonika”.
On her return from leave, on 19 March she joined the 1st Australian General Hospital at Sutton Veny, Wiltshire.
She embarked for Australia on 18 July and arrived on 6 September then her appointment in the AIF was terminated on 24 October 1919. [JSB]
