Biographical Summary:
A builder who enlisted on 21 September 1917 in the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (ANMEF) occupying German New Guinea. He embarked for Rabaul on 18 October and arrived on 5 November 1917.
He was detailed to serve with the Kings Harbour Masters Department at Rabaul.
He embarked for Australia on 21 November and arrived on 6 December 1918. In February 1919, he was found to be unfit for continued service due to malaria and, gastritis and acute indigestion. He was discharged medically unfit from ANMEF on 4 March 1919 and died on 19 June 1919. [JSB]
