Biographical Summary:
A medical student who enlisted in the AIF on 29 March 1916. He embarked for England on 9 September and arrived on 26 October 1916.
On 24 February 1917, he joined the 4th Battalion then out of the front line at Albert, France. In April he was evacuated to hospital in France then England with a fever of unknown origin later diagnosed as trench fever. Following treatment and convalescence he undertook further training in England. On 11 December 1917, he rejoined the 4th Battalion then in a rest area near Tingry, France.
He embarked for Australia on and arrived on then was discharged from the AIF on 13 November 1919. [JSB]
