Biographical Summary:
A commercial traveller who enlisted in the AIF on 5 August 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 2 November 1915.
On 14 February 1916 he was allotted to the 3rd Battalion which arrived at Marseilles, France on 28 March and moved to northern France. He was wounded (shell shock) in action on 23 July 1916 at Pozieres, France. He was evacuated to hospital in England where he remained until February 1917.
He embarked for Australia on 4 May 1917 and arrived on 4 July then was discharged medically unfit from the AIF on 23 August 1917. [JSB]
