Biographical Summary:
A hairdresser who enlisted in the AIF on 1 October 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 1 May and arrived in June 1916. He remained there until he embarked for England on 2 August 1916.
He joined the 6th Field Ambulance at Etaples, France on 25 February 1917. He was evacuated on 5 April to hospital in France then England suffering from pyrexia (fever).
He rejoined his unit on 29 December then was transferred to the 7th Field Ambulance on 12 February 1918.
He embarked for Australia on 10 June 1919 and arrived on 5 August then was discharged from the AIF on 20 September 1919. [JSB]
