Biographical Summary:
A book keeper who enlisted in the AIF on 17 August 1916. He embarked for England on 25 October and arrived on 28 December 1916.
He joined the 18th Battalion then in a rest area at Fricourt, France on 9 May 1917. He was wounded (neck) in action on 11 August 1918 when his unit was in the front line near Harbonnieres, France. He was evacuated to England for treatment and convalescence.
On 1 December 1918 he was transferred the Australian Army Pay Corps at Tidworth, England.
He embarked for Australia on 23 July 1919 and arrived on 5 September then was discharged from the AIF on 20 October 1919. [JSB]
