Biographical Summary:

Self described as living on independent means who enlisted in the AIF on 29 November 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 12 May and arrived on 16 June 1916.

He initially joined the 1st Australian Light Horse Regiment and then transferred to the 4th Australian Machine Gun Squadron in March 1917.

He embarked for leave in England on 28 March and arrived on 11 April 1919. He embarked for Australia on 12 May 1919 and arrived on 27 July then was discharged from the AIF on 9 September 1919. [JSB]
