Biographical Summary:

An insurance inspector who enlisted on 11 August 1914. He embarked on 19 August 1914 with the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (ANMEF) sent to occupy German Pacific territories.

The Army component of the ANMEF landed at Rabaul on 12 September.

He was discharged from the ANMEF on 4 March 1915.

He enlisted in the AIF on 9 June 1915 but was discharged medically unfit in July 1915. [JSB]
