Biographical Summary:
A clerk who enlisted in the AIF on 7 November 1915. He embarked for Egypt on 5 January 1916.
He was allotted to the 2nd Australian Division Signals Company and arrived in Marseilles, France on 18 May 1916 where he was hospitalised with measles. Following discharge from hospital he reported on 24 June to the 2nd Australian Division Base Depot in Etaples, France where he remained until he was sent to England in October 1916 for further training.
Following his return to France, he joined the 4th Australian Division Signals Company at Abbeville on 21 March 1917.
He embarked for Australia on 5 April 1919 and arrived on 20 May then was discharged from the AIF on 12 July 1919. [JSB]
