Biographical Summary:
A motor mechanic who enlisted in the AIF on 3 August 1916. He embarked for England on 9 November and arrived on 9 January 1917.
Following further training in England, he joined the 15th Field Company, Engineers on on 18 November 1917. At the time the unit was in the support lines around Oosttaverne and Hollebeke, Belgium.
He was hospitalised at Abbeville, France on 26 October 1918 with influenza. A month later he was evacuated to England for treatment and convalescence for pneumonia.
He embarked for Australia on 17 March 1919 and arrived on 30 April then was discharged from the AIF on 10 June 1919. [JSB]
