Biographical Summary:

A labourer who enlisted in the AIF on 28 September 1917. He embarked for Egypt on 24 June 1918 and arrived on 3 August 1918.

He joined the 5th Australian Light Horse Field Ambulance on 27 September. In June 1919 he was hospitalised with tuberculosis and malaria.

He embarked for Australia on 17 July and arrived on 30 August 1919. He continued to receive medical treatment after his return and was discharged medically unfit from the AIF on 28 April 1921. [JSB]
