Biographical Summary:

A grazier who enlisted in the AIF on 23 January 1916. He embarked for England on 5 June and arrived on 3 August 1916.

He embarked from England with the 33rd Battalion on 21 November 1916. On 22 May 1917 he was transferred to the 9th Light Trench Mortar Battery to which he had been detached since 6 April. He was killed in action at Messines Ridge, Belgium on 16 July 1917 when a German shell hit where he was sheltering. [JSB]
