Biographical Summary:

A representative who enlisted in the AIF on 7 December 1916. He embarked for England on 21 June and arrived on 26 August 1917.

Following further training in England, he joined the 1st Divisional Ammunition Column on 22 January 1918 at Dranoutre, Belgium and then on 2 March the 2nd Field Artillery Brigade then south of Ypres, Belgium. He was evacuated on 5 April to hospital in France for treatment of trench feet. He was then transferred to England for further treatment and convalescence. Following additional training in England he returned to his unit in France on 7 December 1918.

He embarked for Australia on 20 June and arrived on 10 August then was discharged from the AIF on 13 September 1919. [JSB]
