Biographical Summary:
An Assistant Clerk of Petty Sessions who enlisted in the AIF on 6 December 1915. He embarked for England on 5 August and arrived on 30 September 1916.
Following further training in England and France he joined the 30th Battalion in northern France on 8 February 1917. He was wounded (thighs and testicles) in action on 24 June 1918 when the 30th Battalion was in the front line at Morlancourt. He was evacuated to England for treatment and convalescence.
He embarked for Australia on 18 December 1918 and arrived on 11 February 1919 and then was discharged medically unfit from the AIF on 27 May 1919. [JSB]
